In the Ukranian Parliament Subcommittee on Road Safety held a meeting to introduce the bill in our country about the video fixation for traffic violations. The authors reported that the document is ready for review with the Committee, after which it can be made to Parliament. The representative of the Presidential Administration recommended that the Subcommittee revise the bill for a month and submit it to the Parliament.
In addition, it was proposed to launch a pilot project of automatic fixation, to assess its performance, and to identify and eliminate potential weaknesses of the new system. Most likely, it will first assess drivers in Kiev, because the Department of Traffic Police was
testing for over a year in Kiev various devices for video fixation. The meeting noted that the video fixation for violations of traffic rules have long been successfully operating in many Western countries.
